Hur kan vi betona interaktion och problemorientering i matematik redan under h\u00f6stterminen p\u00e5 f\u00f6rsta \u00e5rskursen? I projektet Grundl\u00e4ggande r\u00e4knekunskaper med flyt och flexibilitet! har f\u00f6rstaklassister f\u00e5tt undervisning med hj\u00e4lp av ett nytt slags material och tillv\u00e4gag\u00e5ngss\u00e4tt sedan h\u00f6sten 2014. Tillv\u00e4gag\u00e5ngss\u00e4ttet g\u00e5r ut p\u00e5 att synligg\u00f6ra tal. Med hj\u00e4lp av materialet kan eleven l\u00e4ra sig se tal som helheter med <em>en enda blick<\/em>. Hela tal kan anv\u00e4ndas f\u00f6r att bygga upp nya tal. Eleverna handleds att unders\u00f6ka samband mellan tal. Samband ger upphov till strukturer. Strukturer g\u00f6r det l\u00e4ttare att f\u00f6rst\u00e5. Tack vare visualiseringen av tal kan samtliga elever delta i diskussionen och bygga upp en gemensam f\u00f6rst\u00e5else om vad tal \u00e4r och vad man kan g\u00f6ra med dem. R\u00e4kning \u00e4r inte en mekaniskt upprepad aktivitet \u2013 den leder till t\u00e4nkande! Modellen grundar sig p\u00e5 visualisering av tal och den s.k. fyraspr\u00e5ksmodellen. Materialet inneh\u00e5ller instruktioner f\u00f6r tio centrala \u00f6vningar f\u00f6r f\u00f6r- och elementarundervisningen.
